DR. AHMED ASSAF

Ahmed Assaf is a professor of Ophthalmology in faculty of medicine, Ain Shams University.

• Fellow of the royal college of surgeons of Edinburgh and consultant of phaco-refractive surgery and shareholder in Alwatany eye hospital
• Cairo. Professor Assaf is interested in cataract surgery with premium IOLs and implementation of the most advanced technology such as Femtosecond laser in cataract and refractive surgery.
• He performs a lot of complicated cataract surgery with Intra-Scleral Haptic Fixation (ISHF), together with iris repair and different techniques of pupilloplasty.
• Professor Assaf concerned as well with surface ablation profiles and Intra-Corneal Ring Segment (ICRS) for early and moderate cases of keratoconus,  and different customized LASIK ablation profiles for refractive errors.
 
• Doctor Assaf has 11 international peer-reviewed articles and presented more than 40 presentations in international meetings.
 
•   He is a board member of the International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS) and got the award of achievement from the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) in 2017
